Moving from Calibre Portable to portableapps.com Calibre Portable

I have been using calibre portable for many years and have successfully moved from drive to drive and computer to computer. I was wondering what the difference is between the Official Portable release and the portableapps.com release. I want to move my libraries to my portableapps.com drive and was wondering if it is possible to just copy the data to that folder or will I break it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards

Should be fine

Most of our apps will work fine copying the data from the installed version to the portable version (or back the other way). There are a few rare ones where this may not work or may not work completely like the Chromium-based browsers, but most should accept the new data without a problem.

Just make sure you copy the local version's settings into the CalibrePortable\Data\ folder, not CalibrePortable\App\DefaultData\ (if it exists - I don't know Calibre Portable's exact workings myself, don't have it installed, and am on a not-so-great connection right now so I can't check, sorry).

How To

Install calibre Portable from PortableApps.com and run it once to create the proper path structure. Then close it.

Delete the contents of calibrePortable\Data\settings\config and then copy in the contents of Calibre Portable\Calibre Settings from your existing portable copy.

Delete the contents of calibrePortable\Data\library and then copy in the contents of Calibre Portable\Calibre Library from your existing copy.

Now run calibrePortable.exe and it should populate with your settings and library.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
